Talk – Post and Courier

TEDxCharleston says it’s taking this year off, but the speaker series says it’s already taking applications for talks in 2019.

The event, which is typically held each year, is affiliated with the international TED Conference. When it returns next year, it’ll focus on the theme of “currents.” Or as the organizers describe them, “powerful, persistent and often unperceived forces that enhance our world and inspire transformation.”

Or, in question form: “What trends are rising to the surface? How are science, art, culture and conversation making waves and evolving to meet the needs of future communities? What changes are happening that parallel and challenge our history?”

The event will be held April 10 next year. Prospective speakers can apply for a spot on stage until Aug. 27 at http://tedxcharleston.org.
