Review: TEDxCharleston – The Art Mag
You’re probably familiar with TED Talks (and if you aren’t, you should be). I’ve been a bit addicted to them since I discovered their existence a few years ago, so of course I was ecstatic to attend Charleston’s very own TEDx event at Memminger Auditorium on Tuesday.
Going on its second year, TEDxCharleston is an independently organized event where some of the most inspiring and creative minds share their ideas with a very lucky audience (the event sold out in five days!). This year’s theme was “Ripple Effect,” and focused on how a new idea can create this rippling effect on both a local and global level. Speakers and performers took to the stage to spread their knowledge and ideas, hoping to ignite a spark of change here in the Charleston community, and in the world.
