Calling all… everyone
Posted by Libby Conwell Nov 7, 2012
TEDxMarionSquare is calling out to all innovators, thinkers, and strange birds with an idea to share. Described as an “all-day immersion experience at the intersection of science, art, performance and business,” TEDxMarionSquare has opened its official call for speakers. The theme “Reinvent” beckons to anyone with a story to inspire listeners and welcomes diverse backgrounds from technology and entertainment to food, design, and education.
The goal of TEDXMarionSquare, which is based on the legendary TED series, is to share both well-known and untold stories that can connect Charlestonians to local visionaries, breakthrough movements, and big ideas.
Sign up for yourself or nominate someone you find inspirational online at tedxmarionsquare.com. Nominations will be taken through January 4 and the application to be an audience member opens online February 1, 2013.

TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started as a four-day conference in California 30 years ago, TED has grown to support its mission with multiple initiatives. The two annual TED Conferences invite the world’s leading thinkers and doers to speak for 18 minutes or less. Many of these talks are then made available, free, at TED.com.
