TEDx, the locally-organized sister series to the incredibly popular TED conferences, is bringing its in-your-face, introspective lecture series to the Holy City next May.
With the theme of ‘Reinvent,’ TEDxMarionSquare organizers say they hope to host a set of speakers who will “share transformative concepts backed by inspired action” with a goal of providing an outlet for “creative thinkers, profound visionaries, and fascinating teachers will inspire us and, in turn, be inspired.”
TEDxMarionSquare will take place on May 15, 2013 and will be hosted by Pure Theatre.
TEDx, which spawned from the TED series devoted to “ideas worth sharing” has hosted more than 16,000 talks at more than 3,200 events worldwide designed as opportunities for communities to build a TED-like experience on a smaller scale.
More information on the event can be found at Facebook.com/TEDxMarionSquare.

TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. Started as a four-day conference in California 30 years ago, TED has grown to support its mission with multiple initiatives. The two annual TED Conferences invite the world’s leading thinkers and doers to speak for 18 minutes or less. Many of these talks are then made available, free, at TED.com.
